Democracy Editor Tomasky Joins Newsweek/Daily Beast

The Editors

We’re pleased to announce that Editor Michael Tomasky will be joining Newsweek/The Daily Beast on May 9 as special correspondent, writing pieces for The Daily Beast and columns and features for Newsweek. He will continue as Democracy’s editor. He will leave his position as American editor-at-large of The Guardian as of April 29.

Good luck with the new gig, MT! Judging from the comments thread on your first essay (the "ground zero" thing, there's work to be done raising the level of discourse on the DB's threads. But as you can see, familiar monikers are there too.

How on earth could you hire a person with such limited, bias, misunderstanding of anything ? He does not even do research before he states what he calls as facts. He slurs and insults, instead of contstructive facts and data. His main concern is to be manly or pretend that a he is tough ! He makes me sick.
He should get a job in a restaurant doing dishes, maybe he could do that correctly. He would smear anyone to make himself look good..! Is this the best you can do ? (gagging ! )
