In the current issue of Democracy, E.J. Dionne, Jr.—editorial chair of the journal and a senior fellow at the Brookings Institution—wrote on “The Reformicons,” the cadre of thinkers and writers in the conservative movement trying to chart a reformist course for the Republican Party.
On June 26, Brookings hosted a panel discussion on “The Reformicons,” featuring Dionne, Henry Olsen of the Ethics and Public Policy Center, Ramesh Ponnuru of National Review, and Michael Strain of the American Enterprise Institute. Brookings Senior Fellow and Democracy editorial committee member William Galston moderated the discussion.
